Centre for Healthy Ageing & Rehabilitation
Description
The Centre for Healthy Ageing & Rehabilitation is based at the Bradford Institute for Health Research at Bradford Royal Infirmary. The Centre has strong focus in applied health research in elderly care and stroke, with aims to improve health care.
Public involvement in research
The Consumer Research Advisory Group (CRAG) comprises stroke survivors and caregivers who provide advice on research projects and initiatives to the Centre for Healthy Ageing & Rehabilitation.
CRAG has been in existence since 2005. The group has written lay summaries for grant applications, reviewed assessment packs comprising postal outcome measures and written information sheets for on-going research. The group contribute ideas/suggestions for future research and help to shape decisions taken by the Research Management Groups when developing new research.
The group meets bi-monthly, currently in Leeds and further information can be obtained from Anne Forster.
